A referee is not a soccer player but a runner (he runs approximately 12 to 14 km per football game) so he must have shoes to avoid injuries. Especially the Achilles’ tendon is a referee’s weak spot when playing with soccer shoes whereas a traditional running shoe has the disadvantage to give insufficient grip.
The Referee shoe contains the most typical characteristics of a running shoe, but on a soccer outsole with a firm grip and with sufficient shock absorption.
